Catch up on all the latest posts from this week on baby shower ideas from my SIL’s shower, how to store bulk pantry items like flour, a TO DO list for starting your garden, how to motivate young children using rewards, and routines that help me stay sane!
Last week was busy:
We all had Monday off (although my husband had to put in some time at work).
We went to a local home and garden show that turned out to be more of a showcase for contractors than being able to buy any garden items (except large ones like fountains and spas). I was disappointed, although I came home with some pamphlets about worm composting.
It snowed on the mountains around us so we were thrilled at the possiblity of going up the local mountain to play in it, but the road was closed half way there and I ended up with hours of car sickness on the ride back and even after we got home.
My kindergartener had the week off, which was great for my 4 year old as he had someone to play with, but it was very distracting for the others who still had home school.
I braved another field trip by myself with the 4 children to a local space and science museum where we had a lot of fun learning about worms, climate, and the telescope.
I waited until the last minute (can you guess why?) to sew 12 burp cloths for my SIL’s baby shower. It took from 10:30PM to 2AM. Good thing my husband suggested I not wait until the next morning which was the day of the shower.
Then we spent all Saturday getting ready, driving, attending the shower, and driving home. Well, my husband and kids went geocaching while I attended the shower.
This all among writing for my blogs, and trying to keep up with the ProBlogger 31 Days to Building a Better Blog Challenge!
This week we should be returning to a more normal schedule. A lot can be said for routines!

Oh no Mike… I’ll have to go reread what I wrote. I would love to worm compost and I’ve come very close to going to get my worms, but I’ve got too many things on my plate at the moment and I’m sure I would end up forgetting all about them. One day I’ll get them. Thanks for stopping by!
